PELICAN ROCK and SAND FALLS (30 to 95 ft.):
This rock outcropping lies above a submarine canyon that forms Cabo San Lucas bay. A beautiful wall leads you down to the famous "Sand Falls" at 90 ft. Large congregations of big and small tropical fish are found here. Rocky slopes are covered with gorgonians and sea fans. It is not unusual to spot rays and big fish swimming out of the canyon. The bay of Cabo San Lucas is a national marine park. Update: 09/01/01: Manta Ray spotted at this site!

........

THE POINT (65 ft.): Located at "Land's End" where the Pacific Ocean meets the Sea of Cortez. Playful sea lions, turtles, morays and huge sea bass are common here. Large schools of sardines and green jacks bring in surrounding groups of game fish. Just past the final pinnacle lies a small shipwreck that forms a natural aquarium for divers and sea lions to play in. Update: 09/09/01: White tip reef shark and also seahorses have been seen at this site.

NEPTUNE'S FINGER (60 to 120 ft.): This the best dive for all levels of divers. We circle around a steep rock formation that is covered with Sea fans and surrounded by white sand slopes. This site is thick with gorgonians, octopus, eels, and abundant tropical fish. Largest of the two famous sand falls begins here at 100ft.

WHALES HEAD (50ft.): A few miles out of Cabo Bay we also find tremendous diversity in marine life. Whales Head consists of large boulders and rock shelves. Take a light and explore the many secret crevasses. A great dive for both experienced and beginning divers alike.

SANTA MARIA (45 to 60 ft.): One of the region's prettiest beaches, Santa Maria bay sits about half way between Cabo San Lucas and San Jose del Cabo. A huge variety of tropical fish surround the graceful sea fans that line the rocks in the crystalline waters of this protected cove. A beautiful spot for diving, snorkeling and photography.

THE BLOWHOLE (40 to 100 ft.): The backside of this huge rock forms a wall covered in gorgonians. Small nurse sharks, guitarfish, and turtles inhabit the area, along with a few large grouper and the occasional bat ray or eagle ray. This site gets it's name from a blowhole on shore.

CABO PULMO (30 to 60 ft.): Navigating you through the many dive sites at Cabo Plumo is our speciality! This remote pueblo is located on one of the world's most breathtaking beaches. It has the only living coral reef in the Pacific side of North America. A national marine sanctuary, this site has the most unique and plentiful marine life in the entire Sea of Cortez. A Cabo Pulmo excursion is a fantastic way to experience the true and remote scenery of Baja. Please see our Trips and Rates page for what's all included in this package. Update: Sept 2001: Sea turtles, wahoo, hammerheads and black tip reef sharks have been spotted here.

GORDO BANKS (100 to 130 ft.): This site rivals Cabo Pulmo in it's marine life, but this is diving in the extreme! The top of this seamount lies under 110 ft. of water. Here our experienced guides lead you to schools of hammerheads, mantas and sometimes whale sharks and marlin. Depth and current dictate this is for experienced and thrill seeking divers only! Bring your camera and get your picture with the sharks.
